Semi-Automatic Steel Wire Packing and Compacting Machine
The packing and compacting system is developed for bundling galvanized steel wire coils. As a custom-engineered wire processing solution, each configuration is tailored to the buyer’s production details, including wire material, diameter, coil dimensions, and target weight per bundle. This process uses vertical downward compaction, so the steel wire production line must be equipped with a vertical drop coiler. The take-up coils must comply with technical requirements, such as a slight conical shape and reinforced strength. These specifications help prevent deformation during compaction and ensure that coils can be separated smoothly after bundling. To start the project, the buyer needs to share complete drawings of the existing take-up coils. These references are used to design a compatible compression basket. During winding, the wire must remain level and evenly layered to avoid sloped surfaces, which can lead to accelerated wear or damage to hydraulic cylinders and guides during pressing.
The steel wire packing system includes a hydraulic power unit, gantry frame, main compaction cylinder, compression basket, tipping cylinder, tilting plate, side-push cylinder, ground rails, and an integrated control system. All movements are driven hydraulically, and the compaction pressure can be adjusted manually to suit production requirements. A dedicated control panel allows operators to manage each stage of the bundling process by operating the solenoid valves of the hydraulic station. Before installation, the buyer is responsible for preparing the foundation in line with the technical drawings provided by the supplier.
